I've just returned from a nuno felting workshop at the Shepherdess bead store in San Diego taught by Fiona Wright, a fabulous nuno felter trained by Polly Stirling, the originator of the process.
There are so many design directions this medium can go. I fell in love with my first nuno felt piece and turned it into a lovely clutch. It is in tones of fuschia and green accented w/ various seed beads and bicone crystal beads.
I've stocked up on wool roving to use with decorative threads, solid and patterned silk chiffons and organzas for summer felting projects:
scarfs, sunglasses cases and additional purses and some altered apparel items.
I'm in the process of designing a wedding ring pillow for a November wedding.
